(NYSE:UDR) continues its technology leadership in the multi-family housing industry by launching three new web-based applications that make finding and leasing an apartment home faster and easier for the online searcher. These applications include a new Apartment Selector program, a "Special Views" application and a proprietary Media Center capability.

UDR's new Apartment Selector program allows apartment searchers to view each floor of a multi-story building at selected apartment communities. Each floor level is graphically presented with apartment availability and pricing, so prospects can visually select their ideal apartment home. The Apartment Selector program also presents full-color floor plans and allows prospects to reserve an apartment online.

With UDR's new "Special Views" application, prospects are able to see unique views from selected individual apartments online. Special View photos are mapped into UDR's new relational database that allows the web server to pull the correct photo for specific apartment homes in response to a visitor request.

And finally, UDR's new web-based Media Center includes a photo gallery, list of amenities, furniture arranger program, virtual tours and a printable brochure for each of the Company's apartment communities.
